Virtek Offers Intelligent Mark Positioning

Virtek Laser Systems has released Intelligent Mark Positioning (IMP), which validates and confirms positioning and orientation of a part, prior to marking.  IMP’s integrated software also enables part verification, mark content and laser control. According to the Waterloo, Ontario, Canada-based company, IMP reduces setup time, simplifies focusing, helps eliminate waste parts due to misaligned marks and reduces the price of costly fixturing. The one-time job setup can be transferred to other FOBA lasers to offer consistency among machines.
